Chief Engineer

Burgess Recruitment is looking for a Chief Engineer for a 58m Private Motor Yacht

Start Date: Around 15 July 2026 (earlier availability preferred)

Salary: DOE

Leave: Seasonal position with the potential to become rotational for the right candidate

Qualifications

• MCA Y2 Chief Engineer CoC
• Valid STCW, ENG1 and all relevant certificates

Requirements

• Previous experience as Chief Engineer on 50m+ yachts
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, electrical, HVAC and hydraulic systems
• Calm, experienced engineer capable of leading the engineering department and mentoring a Second Engineer
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Available to join no later than mid-July
