Burgess Recruitment is looking for a Chief Engineer for a 58m Private Motor Yacht Start Date: Around 15 July 2026 (earlier availability preferred) Salary: DOE Leave: Seasonal position with the potential to become rotational for the right candidate Qualifications MCA Y2 Chief Engineer Co C Valid STCW, ENG1 and all relevant certificates Requirements Previous experience as Chief Engineer on 50m+ yachts Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, electrical, HVAC and hydraulic systems Calm, experienced engineer capable of leading the engineering department and mentoring a Second Engineer Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Available to join no later than mid-July Other Private 58m motor yacht (approximately 750 GT) Cruising programme based in Italy Immediate requirement to cover the current Chief Engineer's rotation from mid-July through approximately mid-September Earlier availability preferred to allow for a thorough handover Opportunity for a longer-term rotational posit...
