Job Description

  • Engineering Leadership: Lead the engineering watch and manage machinery spaces, safety systems, and anti-pollution protocols.

  • Maintenance & Readiness: Oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, manage dry-dock activities, and test standby systems.

  • Operational Excellence: Liaise with the Shore Engineering Team, manage external contractors, and maintain accurate records (Oil Record Books, logs).

  • Team & Safety: Mentor junior engineers, conduct hazard assessments, and ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.



  • What you must have:

  • Certification: Valid 2nd Class Transport Canada Marine Motor engineering certificate, MEDs, Marine Basic First Aid, and current marine medical.

  • Experience: 5+ years as an engineering officer on vessels (400+ gross tons).
