Chief Engineer

Job Description:

The Chief Portfolio Engineer is responsible for delivering the technical, cost and schedule performance for all engineering content for a program portfolio. S/he provides strategic technical leadership, establishing and directing all aspects of the business unit engineering policies, objectives and initiatives based on long-term product and profitability goals. S/he is responsible for maintaining adequate resources for all engineering functions in the pursuit of the portfolio’s strategic goals and operational plans.

The Chief Portfolio Engineer is responsible for leading an Integrated Product Team (IPT) ensuring technical, cost and schedule execution of the Engineering content of the program. Position might require setting up concurrent IPTs that would focus on various phases of the portfolio, such as Development, Qualification, and Production.
