SUPERVISORY CHEMIST – MANUFACTURING
Location: Durban, KZN
A well-established specialty manufacturing operation is seeking a senior Supervisory Chemist to oversee laboratory and production chemistry within a batch manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring proven leadership and deep technical experience.
This is NOT a junior or entry-level position.
The role includes:
Supervision of laboratory and production chemistry activities
Oversight of formulation, quality control, and process consistency
Technical support to production and troubleshooting of manufacturing issues
Leadership, training, and performance management of staff
Continuous improvement and process optimisation
The successful candidate will have:
A tertiary qualification in Chemistry or a related discipline
Demonstrated supervisory or management experience in chemical manufacturing
