Chemist II - Trace Metals

Overview

Element is seeking a Chemist II (Trace Metals) to join our Mississauga Health Sciences laboratory. The Chemist II evaluates the chemical and physical properties of organic and/or inorganic substances, applying established methods, procedures, and laboratory instrumentation to perform analytical testing. This role also conducts method validation and supports method development, interprets data to draw conclusions, participates in failure investigations and deviations, and contributes to the preparation of client reports and quotes.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analysis on the full range of analytical samples in accordance with in‑house methods, customer’s method or compendial method primarily using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP‑MS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP‑OES), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and Ion Chromatography (IC).
