Chef/Cook – Band 3
We are looking for a Chef/Cook to join our Catering Team at Rampton Hospital, near Retford. The role involves working 30 hours per week on a two‑week rota, with one weekend on and one weekend off (including bank holidays). Shifts run between 06:30 am and 06:00 pm.
Job responsibilities
- Provide patient, staff and visitor meals in line with the Catering Food Safety Manual, Trust policies, the Food Safety Act and Food Hygiene Regulations.
- Assist with menu planning and record dietary requirements, including allergen information.
- Serve as the point of contact between catering provision and wards to identify issues or special dietary needs.
- Maintain food production quality, monitor supplies and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
