Chef de Partie – Wildlight Kitchen + Bar
Vancouver, BC near UBC. Open availability preferred. Up to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items according to standard recipe, plating, and time standards.
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food to ensure proper presentation and quality.
- Maintain professional communication with front‑of‑house staff to accommodate guest requests and special dietary needs.
- Observe and test food for proper quality using tasting, smelling, and temperature checks.
- Label and date all prepped or opened food items.
- Order, stock, and maintain sufficient levels of food products at stations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is clean and in proper working condition.
- Provide leadership and assist in training cooks.
- Assist other cooks during peak periods.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef.
