Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Coder with valid coding certifications and an active license to accurately assign medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, optimize reimbursement, and maintain high standards of data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical records, physician notes, operative reports, and discharge summaries
Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
Ensure coding compliance with AAPC/AHIMA, CMS, and payer-specific guidelines
Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and documentation gaps
Collaborate with providers and billing teams to improve documentation accuracy
Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks
Stay updated with annual coding changes and regulations
Support audits and respond to coding-related queries
