Summary

  • The Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the Clinical Documentation Improvement functions and Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist Nurses. The CDI Supervisor is an expert in the Clinical Documentation Improvement role and is responsible for leading the process of monitoring team and hospital performance, collection and analysis of data, and to ensure overall success of the CDI program. The CDI Supervisor will work with Physicians, CDIS, Coders, Coding Leadership, Medical Directors and other members of the healthcare team to ensure that the CDI program captures and promotes accurate and timely clinical documentation and represents appropriate data used for quality, severity and reimbursement measures.
