Catering Coordinator

Summary This position is located in Harbor View Club of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, Fleet Activities, Sasebo, Japan. The incumbent is responsible to plan, arrange, schedule, and coordinate parties, private functions, banquets and other special activities within the MWR Club System. Responsibilities Centralized responsibility for all catering activities requiring food and beverage service. Either in person or by correspondence, obtains pertinent information from the member host, such as date and time of function, number of guests expected, seating arrangements, decorations, and music and entertainment desired. Analyzes the requirements for the occasion and decides on suitable types of services to be provided; discuss menu and beverage items and prices to be charged. Coordinates the event including overseeing the bar and service staff to support the function. Independently commits the club for the requested function.
