Amherst School is looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our team in September. We run our own kitchen in house, and prepare hot and cold meals each day during term time. This role is for 12.5 hours per week, working 12.00pm until 2.30pm Monday - Friday, term time only. The pro rata salary for this role is £7,541, paid monthly at £628 per month. (Full time equivalent salary is £26,168).

What we are looking for:

Enhanced DBS check is required for this role

Previous experience of working in a kitchen

Flexibility to provide cover for staff absence at short notice

Skills Required:

Have food preparation experience and an understanding of safe and correct food hygiene/handling procedures.

Have a Level 2 food hygiene certificate or be willing to work towards this
