Category Controller

Introduction

SPAR North Rand, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd, is recruiting for a Category Controller at its Distribution Centre, located in Olifantsfontein.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this job is to provide administrative support to the Purchasing Manager and Category Manager including compiling and circulating certain daily, monthly, and annual reports, to assist the category manager with basic replenishment buying and ensuring that all day-to-day administration is maintained and updated.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Assistant to the Category Manager
• Check products are listed on the AS400 with the correct vendor pack
• List any new products on AS400
• Ensure system data integrity (e.g., correct pricing and quantities
• Monitor out of stocks and dog-lines daily
• Remove any discontinued stock items as per the supplier information
