Job Description
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and provide change as needed.
- Greet customers and provide friendly, courteous service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues when necessary.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring that the register is stocked and supplies are readily available.
- Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional customer service or retail experience is a plus.
- Strong numerical and basic math skills to handle transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
