Unit Summary

The Ability and Attendance team within Health, Safety and Wellness at Hamilton Health Sciences is accountable for the disability management, accommodation, return to work and attendance management processes through an effective incident capture, triage and response process and for providing the supports necessary to enable reasonable and regular attendance at work by all staff.

Position Summary

The Case Management Coordinator is responsible for the adjudication of disability benefits for employees who are absent due to non-occupational illness or injury. They will support employees who are absent from work related to illness or injury, ensuring that they stay connected with the workplace and have sufficient information about the process, roles and responsibilities, supports and available resources, and will enable return to work through reasonable accommodation as needed.
