Carpentry Foreman

Surespan is seeking skilled and general Carpenter work in Courtenay BC. These are all full time, permanent positions for the right candidates and provide strong opportunities for growth and stability.

Functions of this role include:

• Lead and supervise a team of carpenters on bridge construction projects
• Coordinate daily tasks and work schedules with the Site Superintendent
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Oversee the construction of forms, falsework, and structural components
• Ensure quality control and compliance with safety and building standards
• Train and mentor junior carpenters and general laborers
• Monitor material usage and ensure efficient job site organization
• Assist with crane rigging and ensure proper hand signal communication
