Job Summary

Principal duties include car repairs such as cutting and welding on rail bodies (tank and hopper), light and medium‑duty repairs, and adherence to health and safety standards. Read and follow repair orders, perform quality control checks, and conduct other related duties as assigned.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (schedule may change as business needs dictate).

Responsibilities

  • Car repairs involving cutting and welding on the rail body, including tanks and hoppers.
  • Light and medium‑duty repairs to rail cars.
  • Read, comprehend, and follow repair orders and procedures.
  • Perform mandatory quality control checks.
  • Maintain personal protective equipment and comply with Responsible Care policy.
