(CAN) Pharmacy Assistant, Central Fill role at Walmart Canada .
The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties to support patient care and pharmacy operations. They participate in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations and deliver superior customer service as a key team member.
Responsibilities
- Receiving prescriptions from patients, following provincial legal/regulatory conditions and assessing the prescription for completeness (Name; Address; DOB; Allergies; 3rd Party Information; Any Special Requests; Prescriber; Generic/Brand; Prioritizing Prescriptions with 21st Century Guidelines).
- Performing computer functions as directed by the Pharmacist (Data Entry; Price Check; Patient Information Entry/Update; interpretation and processing of prescriptions including Latin abbreviations; dosage calculations; Refills; Report Generation; Patient Profile checks).
