Job Description
Akkodis is looking for a Senior CAE Engineer with strong hands-on experience in finite element analysis of locomotive and rail structures . The role involves performing detailed FEA for strength, stiffness, fatigue, and dynamic load cases , as well as bolt force extraction at critical interfaces to support safe and compliant product designs.
6–10 years of hands-on CAE experience in locomotive.
Strong expertise in:
Altair HyperMesh, ANSA (meshing, connections, model quality)
ANSYS , ABAQUS for structural and modal analysis
Proven experience in bolt force extraction and joint load assessment
Strong understanding of:
FEM theory
Structural mechanics and vibration
Fatigue concepts and material behavior (steel, cast/welded structures)
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with railway standards – EN15085, EN 61373, DVS 1608/1612/1618
Experience handling large FE assemblies and complex load combinations
Knowledge of CAD tools...
