Buyer

The Buyer purchases raw materials, components, plant supplies, fabricated components and negotiates for the best possible quantity, price, and delivery terms to ensure continuous smooth production in the plant. Must be able to negotiate and purchase goods to meet the requirements at the best price, delivery, and quality possible in accordance with the company’s ISO policies from requirements generated by the Material Requirements Planning System (MRP).

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

• Purchase raw materials, components, plant supplies, fabricated components including materials with proper revision levels and negotiates for the best possible quantity, price, and delivery terms.
• Convert SAP purchase requisitions into purchase orders.
• Help to update inventory to ensure that stock is always kept at appropriate levels.
