Building Electrician

Overview

The City of Kitchener is seeking a skilled and licensed Electrician to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of City-owned facilities. Reporting to Facilities Management, this position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of municipal buildings. The Electrician plays a key role in daily operations, performing both preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure electrical infrastructure, distribution systems, and related equipment remain fully operational and compliant. This includes diagnosing faults, responding to service requests and emergencies, and completing planned maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
