Budget Analyst

Summary Serves as the Budget Analyst for HAS. Performs specialized budgetary functions and related activities pertaining to HAS. Functions for Atlanta Health Administration Service contracts, Beneficiary Travel and all other obligations and funding management. Responsibilities **OPEN TO CURRENT VHA EMPLOYEES ONLY** MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (100%) Incumbent serves as a budget and financial advisor for the Deputy Chief, Health Administration Service and staff with regard to the Service's operating budget. Develops, formulates, and provides all essential data for the annual budget forecast, based on studies of past expenditures, knowledge of Health Administration Service requirements, plans and workload forecasts. Maintains budget control authority and establishes internal methods of control to ensure that funds are used according to operating plan.
