A travel agency in Waterbury, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting business operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintain accurate financial records and update bookkeeping systems regularly

+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

+ Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts

+ Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities

+ Generate invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances

+ Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking as needed

+ Prepare financial reports and support management with account analysis

+ Ensure records are organized and maintained in compliance with company procedures
