PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To safely develop, cut, fabricate/assemble, weld, and maintain metal components.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Physical Science) or NQF level 4
Recognised relevant Trade Qualification or NTC 2 specialised course
3 years Boilermaker experience in a mining environment
COMPETENCIES:
Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance.
Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety.
Performs regular inspections in area of work and report hazards to ensure environment safety and hazard free and recommends remedial action where necessary.
Builds, supports and maintains healthy diverse internal relations and implement remedial actions where required.
