Overview

Purpose of Position:

• Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components.
• Assemble structural forms, such as construction of conveyors, platforms, structures, trolleys and any manufacturing according to drawings.
• Work involves using cutting torches, Tig, stick and Mig welding.
• Must have the ability to use any hand and power tools, read and use all measuring equipment, and read and work according to engineering drawings.
• Perform surface preparation prior to welding and construct jigs with close tolerances.
• Be able to construct, assemble, maintain and repair any structural forms according to blueprint or verbal instruction.
• Carry out inspection on any work performed.
• Development and fabrication are the main purposes of this position.

• Grade 12 or N3.
• Boilermaker trade.
