Job Description

We are currently seeking a Shot Firer at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) – Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

Duties will include:

  • Demonstrate safe behaviours and provide visible safe leadership to team members
  • Fulfill statutory Shot firer requirements at the mine
  • Conduct blast area controller activities as required
  • Audits against company standards
  • Magazine keeping and facilities management

    • About You:

  • Licensed Shot Firer, QLD Coal
  • Appointed Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3, G2 or equivalent)
  • Experience in open cut mining operations within the coal industry
  • At least 4 years' experience in a blast department
