- Oversee charging and blasting operations by reviewing blast plans, drilling patterns, hole depths, explosive requirements, and initiation sequences to ensure safe and effective execution.
- Conduct pre-blast inspections by identifying hazards, clearing the site of unauthorized personnel, positioning blast guards, supervising explosive loading, and initiating blasts as per approved plans.
- Manage the safe drawing of explosives from the magazine by verifying permits, confirming explosive types and quantities, handling materials correctly, and using approved containers and equipment in line with regulations.
