Blaster

As a blaster within the Pomerleau civil engineering & infrastructure team, you’ll work closely with all team members in coordinating the work. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you'll have the opportunity to participate and collaborate with team members to ensure that work is carried out according to specifications.

What you will do

• Checks and maintains drilling and blasting equipment and accessories.
• Organizes and carries out blasting operations or any other work requiring the use of explosives.
• Repares, organizes and carries out drilling operations using hydraulic drills.
• Dynamite trenches, masses and road networks (pipeline).
• With proper training and a valid card, the blaster may be required to use handling and motorized equipment such as forklifts, aerial work platforms, etc.
