About the role

Austek Roads (ACT) are seeking a skilled Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our team in Hume, ACT. This full-time local position is an integral part of our operations, responsible for the safe and efficient application of bitumen.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate and maintain bitumen spraying equipment to apply bitumen to road surfaces
  • Ensure accurate and consistent bitumen application as per project specifications
  • Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment
  • Monitor and adjust spray rates and temperatures to achieve desired results
  • Work alongside the construction crew to coordinate bitumen application with other activities
  • Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
