Bilingual (French/English) Living Benefits Underwriter
100% Remote — Work From Anywhere in Canada
We are partnering with one of Canada's most respected life and health insurance providers (estimated $200B in assets) to find an experienced Bilingual Living Benefits Underwriter. This is a high-impact, niche role with above-market compensation and real long-term growth potential alongside a team of seasoned underwriting professionals.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assessing medical, non-medical, and financial risk for individual CI and DI cases
- Managing 10–15 cases per day within established authority limits (DI up to $5,000/month | CI $100K–$500K+)
- Reviewing medical files, physician statements, lab results, and financial documentation
- Auditing underwriting decisions to ensure quality and consistency
- Underwriting cases fluently in both French and English
