A Behaviour Mentor works in schools or educational settings to support students who experience behavioural difficulties, social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) needs, or have faced trauma or challenging circumstances. The primary aim is to help studentsimprove behaviour, engage with learning, and build positive relationships with peers and staff.

Key Responsibilities

* Work individually or in small groups with students to develop coping strategies, self-awareness and emotional regulation.

* Create and implement tailored behaviour plans and risk assessments to address specific behavioural issues and track progress

* Liaise with teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies to ensure consistent support and solution focused approach.

* Provide guidance, mentorship and emotional support to designated students, promoting resilience, self esteem and independence.
