Bank Driver

Cygnet Hospital Colchester is a 59‑bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs. A new position has arisen for a Bank Driver to facilitate the transport service needs for our patients on a casual basis as and when required. Shifts are scheduled Monday–Sunday, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide transport for escort visits for both service users & staff.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each trip to ensure safety and report any faults or damage.
• Refuel vehicles and keep them clean inside and out.
• Comply with health & safety policies and Cygnet protocols.
• Operate an 8‑ or 9‑seater minibus (manual and automatic) and be comfortable driving in different environments including cities, motorways, daytime and evenings.
