Become a Seasonal Equipment Operator with Banff Centre, tasked with grounds maintenance and safety for campus visitors. This position emphasizes physical labor and operating various machinery.
This role is term-based until September 30, 2026, focusing on landscaping and safety management. Your primary duties will include sodding, planting, and using equipment like tractors and chainsaws. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, assisting other trades within the Physical Facilities team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform landscaping tasks and manage seasonal grounds upkeep
• Operate small power tools for daily campus maintenance
• Use heavy machinery for snow removal and lawn care
• Clean campus grounds, emptying bins and removing debris
• Assist with signage and event setups on campus
Requirements:
• At least two years of landscaping experience required
• Strong knowledge of horticultural practices and machinery
