Overview

A Baker is responsible for preparing, mixing, and baking ingredients to create a variety of baked goods, such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients: Measure and mix ingredients, such as flour, sugar, yeast, and other materials, to make dough and batter.
  • Baking: Operate ovens and other baking equipment to bake products to the desired consistency and quality.
  • Product decoration: Decorate cakes, pastries, and other baked goods with frosting, icing, and toppings.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and sanitation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes.
  • Physical stamina for long hours of standing and lifting heavy ingredients.
  • Creativity and a passion for baking.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet baking deadlines.
