Overview

We are currently hiring for a Shunter for our client in Calgary, AB.

Location: Calgary, AB
Work days: Wednesday to Saturday.
Start time: 6 am.

Job Responsibilities

  • Move and position trailers, containers, and trucks within the yard as directed.
  • Perform regular yard checks to monitor trailer locations.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and yard staff to ensure efficient flow of equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of shunt trucks/trailers.
  • Complete basic paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents or delays.

Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Prior experience of 2 years as a shunter is a requirement.
  • Good backing skills are an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and yard operations.
