Job Summary
The Driver AZ/DZ is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to assigned locations. This role involves maintaining compliance with company policies, ensuring the timely delivery of shipments, accurate completion of paperwork, and adherence to all safety standards.
Essential Details and Responsibilities
Pre-Trip Preparation:Coordinate with the Transportation Manager or Coordinator for next-day details such as start times, routes, and necessary addresses.Perform vehicle and equipment inspections, including lift gates, pallet jacks, and safety equipment like pylons, snow shovels, salt/sand, and ice scrapers (seasonal).Verify all paperwork, keys, and store-specific details (e.g., phone numbers, security codes).Ensure load security and confirm skid counts before leaving the facility.Delivery Operations:Follow the assigned Driver’s Run Sheet for delivery routes and t...
