Join Our Team as an Automation Project Specialist at Johnson Electric! Location: Ancaster, ON (onsite). Salary Range: $80K-$95K annually. Vacancy Type: Existing position.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Program, debug, and commission PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize robotic cells, including vision and force monitoring systems.
- Support design, build, and startup of automation equipment and assembly lines.
- Modify existing production equipment and develop new automation solutions.
- Configure industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, etc.).
- Develop or modify LabVIEW-based programs for automation systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams during design and implementation.
- Support equipment commissioning at customer sites and provide technical support.
- Prepare technical documentation including manuals, setup procedures, and schematics.
