Automation Engineering Designer

Responsibilities

• Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual intervention, increase throughput and quality.
• Design and implement production automation equipment solutions to manufacture components and subassemblies.
• Provide return on investment and operational cost savings for automation projects.
• Create documentation for automation solutions, including procedures for operation, maintenance and calibration.
• Coordinate with Digital Transformation Partners to apply digital automation strategy, collect throughput and test data, and make it available and mineable digitally.
• Collaborate with external partners to accelerate delivery and implementation of systems.
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Robotics, or an equivalent technology diploma.
