Automation Engineer Dredging Equipment

Our client
is one of the oldest shipbuilders in the Dutch river region, engineering and
constructing vessels up to approximately 240 meters in length. A key priority
is investing in technological innovations, with a strong emphasis on
implementing cleaner technologies to reduce emissions. Within this position your main tasks are: 

• Developing and testing PLC and SCADA software for monitoring, processing, measurement, and control of dredging components.
• Working closely with project teams under the guidance of a Project Manager and Lead Engineer.
• Ensuring proper system integration and troubleshooting potential automation issues.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics to support system implementation.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize process automation.
