Job Summary
The AV Design Engineer is responsible for designing, engineering, and documenting audio-visual solutions for corporate, commercial, and institutional projects. This role involves translating client requirements into detailed AV system designs, drawings, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Design complete AV systems including audio, video, control, conferencing, and collaboration solutions
Prepare AV schematics, block diagrams, signal flow diagrams, and layouts
Develop Auto CAD drawings (floor plans, rack layouts, elevations)
Select appropriate AV equipment (displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, DSPs, control systems)
Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and cost estimates
Coordinate with sales, project managers, architects, IT, and site teams
