Auto Tradesperson

Position Summary

Auto Tradesperson – Full time, Permanent and Temporary (one-year term). Location: Saskatoon, Salvage. The role requires 100% in office.

Key Responsibilities

• Process damaged vehicles, including dismantling salvaged vehicles for sale of parts.
• Inspect the quality of parts prior to stocking.
• Identify vehicle parts needed for inventory and create dismantling packages for Auto Tradespersons and Senior Auto Tradespersons.
• Identify parts to be shipped to other Salvage locations.
• Test and identify recycled parts, ensuring they are ready for sale.
• Test and check the condition of engines to assist in selection and valuation before dismantling.
• Verify that vehicle VIN number matches claims file information.
• Inspect salvage vehicles to ensure damages and condition match the claim file information and notify Senior Parts Person or Manager of discrepancies.
