Job Description
1. Purpose
The purpose of this AV Site Survey is to assess the existing audio-visual infrastructure and site conditions to support the design, deployment, upgrade, or validation of AV systems. The survey will identify technical requirements, constraints, risks, and recommendations to ensure successful AV implementation.
2. Scope of Services
2.1 Pre-Survey Preparation
Review provided project documentation (floor plans, drawings, scope notes, if available)
Confirm survey locations, access requirements, and on-site contacts
Validate survey objectives with the client or project coordinator
2.2 On-Site AV Assessment
The engineer will conduct a physical walk-through of the site and assess the following:
A. Room & Space Evaluation
Room dimensions, ceiling height, and layout
Wall construction types (drywall, concrete, glass, etc.)
Furniture placement and room usage (conference rooms, training rooms, huddle spaces, auditoriums)
