Athletic Trainer

Overview Athletic Trainer - Stony Brook Orthopaedic Associates, UFPC Location: Lake Grove, NY Schedule: Full Time Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8 AM - 5 PM Pay: $26.71 - $33.38 Responsibilities Greets and obtains patient histories. Performs physical examinations and evaluates injuries. Performs wound care and suture removal. Applies casts and splints. Provides patient education, both in office and on the telephone, when necessary. Assists in billing and medical documentation. Works closely with resident physicians and physician extenders. Participates in research meetings and quality improvement projects. Participates in outreach opportunities at local colleges, high schools, athletic competitions etc. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree; graduation from an accredited program for Athletic Training.
