Description
This position is responsible for preparing benefit calculations, updating member records, and processing pension benefits, refunds, and death-related cases in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Essential Job Duties include:
Review incoming refund applications and required documentation
Review and resolve death backlog cases
Terminate members in the system when a death is reported
Calculate and process pension benefits and refunds in a timely manner
Conduct peer review of documentation and Eligibility and Control Reports
Review disability applications and related documentation
Perform beneficiary research and mail death benefit applications
Audit returned documentation for completeness and accuracy
Communicate with members and beneficiaries to obtain required documentation
Evaluate legal documentation such as trusts, estates, and Powers of Attorney
