Associate-Distribution Planner

We are currently on a search for an Associate Distribution Planner to join one of South Africa's leading appliances manufacturer . The purpose of the role will be optimising the movement of goods from order planning to customer delivery in the most cost-efficient manner. This entails but not limited to inventory management, route planning, stakeholder coordination, order fulfilment and risk management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning deliveries from national/regional warehouses to customers thereby
Optimising transport costs and ensuring sales orders are expedited as per customers' requirements.
Customer communication on a daily basis
Ensuring that all dedicated vehicles are fully utilized.
Ensuring all deliveries are completed timeously.
Ensuring customer POD's are captured at the relevant NDC/Branch
Stock counts at financial year-end
Reporting to Internal and external customers
Ad hoc administration functions
