Job Description

Overview

The Assistant Superintendent works with all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the golf course. The assistant superintendent is expected to observe golf course conditions and make suggestions or observations known to the Golf Course Superintendent. This position works in all facets of golf course management with an emphasis on irrigation, fertilizer/pesticide, and employee management under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent. The ideal candidate possesses a practical knowledge base in golf course landscape maintenance, including greens, tees, and fairways; fertilizers, herbicides and pest control methods; drainage control methods; and irrigation systems including pumps and automatic controls.


Experience Required

  • Valid Driver License
  • Two-year certificate, associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Turf Grass Management or related field preferred.
  • Ability to obtain NC pesticide license within six (6) months of employment...
