Assistant Professor in Organic Chemistry

Position is covered by the Agreement between the University of Guelph and University of Guelph Faulty Association Unit 1.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The anticipated start date of the position is December 1, 2026, or another mutually agreed upon date in 2026 or 2027.

The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field and a record of relevant, internationally-recognized research. They will have the pedagogic ability to reach and supervise undergraduate and graduate students, and a desire to inspire new generations of scientists. The candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program, with global impact, funded by Canadian and international agencies (i.e., NSERC, CFI, etc.), which may lead to industrial collaborations.
