Assistant Lecturer

Job Summary

This 15 month term contract involves teaching and facilitating didactic and clinical years of the Bachelor of Science program in Medical Laboratory Science (BSc in MLS) in the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology.

Location

This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton and APL sites such as Edmonton General Hospital or BaseLab.

Teaching Responsibilities

Teach lectures and labs to students in years 2, 3, or 4 across the five main disciplines offered by the MLS program, including phlebotomy, hematology, and advanced courses tailored to evolving healthcare needs.

Deliver and develop course content, remain current in the field, and engage in scholarly teaching activities.

Collaborate with fellow instructors, partner departments, and clinical partners such as Alberta Precision Labs.
