Bristol Grammar School is looking to appoint a Assistant Groundsperson to join the Grounds team based at the Failand Sports Grounds.
The department maintains all sports pitches on the fifty acre site to ensure that they are in the best condition for the busy sports programme.
DUTIES OF THE ASSISTANT GROUNDSPERSON
Full details of the role duties are contained in the job description, these include:
o Grass cutting using large area fairway mowers and hand tools as required
o Refuelling of tractor and mowers
o Pitch lining
o Application of fertilisers, dressings and other treatments
o Erection and maintenance of sports equipment
The ideal candidate would have experience of working in a grounds maintenance team, ideally within a sports setting or similar, and have a NVQ Level 2 in Sports turf or to consider working towards this via an apprenticeship training programme....
