Summary The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for an Assistant Finance Officer. The Assistant Finance Officer will function in the Fiscal Service. Incumbent is responsible to the CFO for interpretation of financial regulations, directives, laws, regulations, and policies. Responsibilities The Assistant Finance Officer duties include, but are not limited to: Provides leadership support to Fiscal Supervisor and reviews completed work for soundness of overall approach, effectiveness in meeting requirements and adherence to requirements. Exercises leadership in their subject area by providing guidance to less-experienced specialists, professionals, leads/managers, or administrative support staff; leading large project/program teams; defining and developing internal policies and procedures; and predicting potential issues and proposing preventive action.
